This is a very large shadowbox frame I assembled
for IR’s Nirvana project. Included inside the frame is a t-shirt,
two CDs with cases,
a few sticky note pads and various decals,
brochures and posters.
The above frame is KISS memorabilia including
photos, a pass tag, and signed book. I used special matting which has a
black surface, but shows orange when it is cut. – May 2004
a larger more versatile model in 1998.
I have assembled more frames over these last 18
years than I am able to count, and I am proud of my work. The framed
pieces included everything from books, flowers and clothing, to
original oil paintings and limited edition prints.
It’s exciting for me to finish a mat and see
the results, and it makes me happy when a customer smiles in amazement
at how different and stunning their piece looks after it is matted and
assembled inside a beautiful frame. I am committed to satisfying my
customers—
most of whom are also good friends—and I will
do whatever it takes to keep them coming back.
With my love of art, came my love of making art
(and various other things) look better when displayed. Because of the
expense of having matting and framing done by a professional, I decided
to learn how to do it on my own. I purchased my first matcutter when I
was still in school, and upgraded to
